User Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Aniflow website and service (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Age Restriction

The Service is intended for users who are at least 16 years of age. By using Aniflow, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract with us and meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. If you are under 16, you may not use the Service.

3. Description of the Service

Aniflow is an anime tracking platform that allows users to organize their viewing progress, read news, create lists, participate in episode discussions, and write reviews. The Service's functionality is dependent on third-party APIs, including but not limited to Jikan Moe (for anime data), AnimeThemes API (for music themes), and Anime News Network (for news). We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or performance of these third-party services.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. Account registration and data storage are managed through Supabase, and you are also subject to their terms of service.

5. User Conduct and Content Moderation

You agree not to use the Service to post or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable. Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

Hate Speech: Any content that promotes discrimination, disparages, or intimidates individuals or groups based on their race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, or any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization.
Harassment and Threats: Content that threatens, bullies, or harasses an individual or group.
Spam and Misinformation: Repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content, or the deliberate spread of verifiably false information.
Illegal Content: Content that depicts or promotes illegal acts, such as violence, self-harm, or the exploitation of minors.

You retain ownership of any content you post ("User Content"). However, by posting User Content, you grant Aniflow a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with the Service. The Aniflow team reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review and remove any User Content that we deem, in our sole discretion, to violate these Terms or be otherwise harmful to the community.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its layout, look, and feel, is owned by Aniflow. All anime data, images, and other information provided via third-party APIs are the property of their respective owners. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any third-party content.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including affiliate links for products like those from Playasia and NordVPN. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites. We may earn a commission on purchases made through affiliate links, which helps support the Service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. ANIFLOW MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL ANIFLOW, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aniflow and its licensors and service providers, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees).

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute relating in any way to your use of the Service shall be submitted to confidential arbtration in Mexico City, Mexico, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the changes.
