It’s not just about Ainz being overpowered; it’s the world-building through the eyes of the terrified. The Holy Kingdom arc is peak Overlord because it balances the dark fantasy elements with a brutal sense of consequence. Studio Madhouse really stepped up the scale here. The pacing feels tighter than the seasonal format, allowing the psychological weight of the "justice" themes to actually land.

The way Neia Baraja's admiration for Ainz grows while she’s oblivious to the absolute chaos he’s causing is both hilarious and deeply unsettling. It’s the perfect representation of how the show flips the 'Hero' trope on its head.
